Civil Engineering Scientist Recruitment in India

Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) invites applications for the post of Scientist in civil engineering area,


 Scientist (Area – Civil Engineering):


Total No. of posts: 10


Scale of Pay : Rs.15600-39100+ G.P. Rs.6600* 


Age limit : Not exceeding 32 years.


(i) Post Nos.1-2,  Unreserved  (Single Application may be sent  for these two posts) 
(ii) Post No. 3,  Reserved for OBC. 
Essential Qualification : Ph.D. (Thesis submitted/Awarded) in Civil Engineering with  specialization in Environmental Engineering  or M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent in Civil/ Environmental Engineering. 
Desirable Qualification: Experience in the development of newer construction material. 


Job Requirement :  To carry out R&D activities on the use of recycled material, Utilization of Industrial Waste to produce useful building materials, development of newer material, Environment Management Plan for building material Industry, Indoor Air quality monitoring.

Essential Qualification : Ph.D (Thesis submitted/Awarded) in  Civil Engineering with 
specialization in Geotechnical Engineering  with focus on Geotextiles/Geosynthetics or M.E/ 
M.Tech or equivalent in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering. 
Desirable Qualification: Experience in the area of geotextiles/geosynthetics in soils.  
Job Requirement:  To carry out R&D activities in Ground improvement, Geotextiles and Geosynthetics, Geoenvironmental Engineering.  
         (vi) Post Nos. 9-10 Reserved for SC. (Single Application may be sent  for these two posts) 
Essential Qualification : Ph.D.(Thesis submitted/Awarded) in  Structural Engineering with a 
focus on Wind Engineering or M.E./ M.Tech. or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering. 
Desirable qualification:: Experience in  the area of structural composites, wind effects on 
structures. 
Job Requirement:  To pursue R&D activities in the areas of Structural Analysis and design, 
distress diagnostics and retrofitting of structures, health monitoring of building structures, Prefabricated Structural System, Pre-stressed Structural System, Composite materials, wind effects on structures.

to place the candidate in any of the Grade Pay within Pay Band-3 subject to meeting the
